When it comes to a crooked nose, all of the nasal cartilages (upper cartilage and alar cartilages) and the nasal septal cartilage may be crooked. So each of the cartilages must be examined and corrected, as necessary.
A crooked nose refers to a nose that deviates from the centerline.
It is typically accompanied by nasal congestion and headaches, in addition to aesthetic problems, and requires surgery that can fix all of these problems. The cause of a crooked nose is 20% bone and 80% cartilage, and the treatment procedure must be designed according to the exact cause. SURGICAL PROCEDURE
The nasal bone is fractured on the both sides and made symmetrical.
A part of the curved area of the nasal septal cartilage is removed and the remaining area is smoothed out through "nasal septal plasty." This corrects the bent shape and the asymmetrical appearance of the cartilage.
After the nasal septal plasty, an implant is inserted into the nose bridge area, if necessary, to create a camouflage effect
